JT Equipment is growing and if your values line up with ours then we want you to know that we are currently looking for an experienced Accounts Payroll Administrator to join our Finance Team.
Position Summary:
The Accounts Payable Administrator plays a vital role in our financial operations. They are responsible for timely and accurate processing of all accounts payable transactions, reconciliation of vendor and credit accounts, managing pay runs, generating reports, and assisting with month and year ends.
Key Responsibilities:
– Process vendor packing slips, purchase orders, invoices, receipts, and expense reports in an accurate and timely
manner.
– Monitor and manage all incoming accounts payable communication, providing quick responses.
– Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
– Reconcile vendor and credit card statements on a monthly basis and resolve discrepancies.
– Assist with bank reconciliations.
– Consistently maintain and organize vendor records, ensuring data accuracy.
– Verify and process employee reimbursements.
– Prepare and process payments (cheques, wires, EFTs) in compliance with company policies and regulations.
– Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
– Collaborate with other departments to resolve payment-related issues.
– Generate reports and provide insights on accounts payable activities.
– Assist with audits and compliance reporting as required.
– Contribute to process and procedure improvements to enhance efficiency.
– Provide additional clerical support and administrative assistance where needed.
– Participate in event planning with the administrative team.
Qualifications:
– Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Administrator or in a similar role.
– Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft office suite, particularly Excel.
– Comfortable working in Outlook and experience with DEXT are an asset.
– Knowledge of accounting principals and practices. Formal accounting education preferred.
– A general understanding of financial statements.
– Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
– Excellent organizational and time management skills.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
